Micro cables and Air blown fiber and are designed to be installed inside of small micro tubes over great distances with or without compressed air. In order to achieve this, these cables are constructed differently than traditional fiber optic cables. The key elements required to achieve this are to reduce the friction between the cable sheath and the microduct, reduce the weight of the cable as much as possible, and to maintain the perfect balance between stiffness and flexibility.
